Situated on two wooded acres just off the beaten path of FM1488 and FM2978 sits a little red schoolhouse. With over 15,000 square feet, this little red schoolhouse is not so little after all. Founded with the core values of honesty, integrity, compassion and dedication in September of 2001, The Sherwood Academy is home to one of the area’s longest standing private schools. Sherwood offers an upper grade school, a lower grade school, preschool, as well as a toddler and infant program. For over 20 years The Sherwood Academy has provided the children of Magnolia, The Woodlands, Montgomery, Woodforest, and surrounding areas with a wealth of adventure for learning. We believe that childhood is a time of creative growth and exploration. The incredible teachers and staff of The Sherwood Academy strive to provide a warm and secure environment where children can grow in all aspects of development. Each child enrolled will be inspired, guided, and encouraged in carefully planned, age-appropriate activities. The Sherwood Academy maintains small class sizes and an environment that just feels like home. Our unique and custom curriculum provides the perfect blend of hands-on integrated learning as well as traditional teaching methods that exceed state standards. Our model of education not only provides a solid academic foundation that will allow children to flourish, it also addresses the core social emotional needs necessary to develop the whole child.

What Parents are Saying
Such a fun summer camp experience! My kids are having a blast and coming home worn out from so much fun with their friends! I love that they can all go together!
Amazing staff that are genuinely interested in each students welfare and achievements. My kids have grown so much and learned so much over the last four years I can’t recommend Sherwood enough.
